The pattern I noticed in church communications turned out to be everywhere, not just in
churches: capable people buried under more asks than hours, because nobody had built them
a system. Once I saw it, I couldn't unsee it.
Nearly sixteen years leading church communications, solo and then as a team lead, is where
I saw it first and on repeat. Since then I've shot and cut video, built brand identities,
flown drones commercially, sold sports cards on eBay, and painted. Some of it became a
business, including the three running today. The ones that failed were the better teachers.
What's left is one habit: find where someone's burning time or money on something that
could be handled better, then go build the handling.
I designed, wrote, and shipped all three of these myself.
